This morning – since there were no kid-lets, I prepped more
coq au vin for dinner. Stuck it all in the
crock pot for later – something to look forward to since I am crack-less since
this DUDE in AUSTIN has declared himself my drill sergeant because it is clear
I need help (says he). <grin> So I had miso soup, an apple
and cuc salad for lunch. Boooorriiiiinnngggg. The way I see it, he gets “Things In Life”
which are “Pleasure-Filled” <he is married> that I do not get, so what
the hell?
I hatehatehate when
my eyeballs are not cooperating with my self-esteem and force me to wear
glasses because the trial contacts are causing my eyeballs to pound the way Tom’s
eyeballs (of Tom ‘n Jerry cartoon fame) would pound when Jerry managed to land
a piano on Tom's toes, or some such.
Despite the pain, I wore them to work, hoping it was just a phase, but
apparently eyeballs and contacts don’t do that.
Work was still worky…weird again. Fortunately I have a lead on a different
place of employment, so I may check that out.
Maybe. I have to look the costs
vs. benefits: this job works for my
school, kids, homework, etc. Plus I get
to experience lots of what my career will entail. Rats.
I just talked myself out of calling the other place. <if I didn't live with myself I might fare better in life>
Headed home and enjoyed my delicious coq au vin with
unleavened bread (aka: tortillas), then headed off to school. Class was interesting to the degree that IF I
were a math/stats person, I would love assessments because it is a detective
work of the soul, but I suck. In math. No where else (see first post)
I am enjoying these cooler nights….
