February 12, 2016

It was a day I could have taken off, but A) I really enjoy working at juvenile hall, B) I’d really like to bank a day so I can head to Santa Cruz early for the Hip weekend.

I left early for work so I could leave earlier – today was a dessert party at juvie – and I made cranberry crunch which went over very well.  Maybe they’ll remember me and get me back there because of it   It was sweet to be thought of and given a little bag of candy (which will go to the kids).

After work, I went across the street to the governmental agency and got Maggie’s birth certificate for sending off to Austria and then headed to the gym for a workout.  As I stood on the machine to warm up – I saw the Austrian soccer team on tv, which was my sign.

Home to some very happy puppies and some flubbery arms.  If only I could manage to go to the gym more than once a week.  I decided to head for some sushi once I took a shower since the sushi I get doesn’t have all those sauces and such.  It was a full place, save a few spots, so I was seated.  Now I love this place, but after 10 minutes of not even a water and the people next to me who came in after I did beings served, I left.  It may or may not be right, but my dad taught me that you treat the regulars well, because they are the ones who are there consistently.

At home, I made a nice cozy fire, watched some tv and prepared for a long sleep-in.  I have some drag clothes to gather together for tomorrow’s Rocky Show.
