Back to the clinic where I wrote up more prog notes. First time I was able to sign my name as an
intern instead of trainee. I have been
at New Morning over a year – it took 10 months to get my face-to-face hours so
I could graduate, and now my numbers took an additional six weeks, but finally, I am an intern. Instead of crossing my “t”s I get to dot my “i”s.
Headed to my school site.
Picked up kids, brought them home and turned right around
for my next appointment. The dogs were
zip-zero-zilch on food and I needed to run by and pick up some food. I grabbed two medium bags (the large ones
were cleared out) and headed into line. Ahead of me, a couple…a little on the eccentric
side were stocking up on their annual trip to the store. It took so.damn.long to clear away those
remaining few items. We had to talk
about how we broke our arm, the oh-so-cute-back-scratchers, coupons at home,
how great the pink cast still looks,
even though we've had it since January third, how the cashier’s experience
with a cast resulted in shriveled up, pale skin…. And as I stood there, two
bags of dog food over my shoulders, I kept thinking how this woman really
needed to have her story heard…but that I had clients in 10. Oh lordy.
Session over, raced home (safely, of course) to where Mags
had cooked up the cauliflower and chicken as we watched all watched Supernatural
together. As we cleaned the kitchen up
after the show, I was reminded that tomorrow was Wednesday, where I had
promised to make a…you guessed it, cranberry
crunch, for work. Ethan requested part of it, so
with his help, I made two. Goddamn. I hope I get enough sleep soon.
Pictures: My electronic signature; 8 (or so) Milky way wrappers; my dotted "i"!!
