I was very excited about tonight – fabulous plans with my
little ones, and – as tough as things have been lately, I was particularly
excited to spend time with The Boy.
Around 8:34 a.m., the first call came in from school – and I was
worried, so I immediately listened to the voice mail. It was Mags: -*-*- had invited her to spend
the night, but she didn’t have her iphone so she couldn’t ask before. Sure, Maggie – go have fun since I ruined
your life yesterday by not letting you go to the other event. School meant more delicious foods from South American
countries for Spanish class….
I noticed at school that there was indeed a problem – not only
was there the shelf, and the growth, but for the first time in my life (not
including pregnancy-related issues), I am unable to see my toes due to two
hindrances. It’s rather painful,
too. Note there are few runners with D
cups (I think that’s the minimum of where I am). To any of you men who think that’s fabulous,
grow a pound-each set of balls and then we’ll talk.
Picked up my boy and was talked to by the teacher. She was so thrilled and impressed by all the work
he’d caught up on and very impressed with his attitude. He is raising hands, asking questions,
etc. I am beyond thrilled. Those words have brought a joy to my
heart because Ethan seems to realizing that
he can and that there are people who care so much about him.
We went to Winco, primarily to stock up on dog food, but
also for other stuff for our movie weekend.
We have rib eye steaks, baked potatoes, salad, cheese sticks (his call)
and chestnuts (our call). Once at home,
he tried to start a fire in the back, but the wood was too wet from the rain,
so it didn’t work. We initially started
off with chestnuts, then he wanted all the cheese sticks and I wanted more
chestnuts. We were so full the potatoes
(which were baking) will now be twice-baked potatoes tomorrow.
I got caught up with Ethan as he re-watched the first 4
shows of The Pacific with me. I doooo
love war movies, but BoB wins. I miss
Major Winters and the 506 Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. These moments with my boy are special to
me.
Picture: Beautiful leaves from Thursday....
