Up suuuper early
(about 20 minutes earlier than usual) today, because I had critters to care
for. Because of this Very Important
Task, I did not participate in yoga,
which is probably directly correlated to the three homemade snickers bars I had
the night prior. Common sense would
indicate an extended yoga session, but
I live dangerously and off the mark.
I got there and the cat, Bea, greeted
me loudly and emphatically. I spoke with
her, validated her feelings (*”I’m a helper, it’s what I do”) and fed her. She didn’t care about the food at that
moment, she had some fierce complaining to do.
This pussy was pissed. Hunhhh. I get that.
Next, I moved onto the rats. They
were sleeping and were a bit irked that I was waking them, but cheerios changed
that (the fruits and veggies were ignored).
The hairless rat, whom I call Fritz but that isn’t his name, greeted me
affectionately. I hope I don’t offend
you gentlemen, but this guy feels more like a penis than, well… probably your
penises (minus his whiskers). I am very
grateful to him for being the one remaining link to that feeling in my life. Off to work!
I was there 25 minutes early. Swerner almost fell over. I am looking upon this as a make-up for my
few minutes late, though technically, I haven’t really gotten my “required” 15
minute break all semester, so I’m ahead of the game. A little sad, I didn’t see the person I was
hoping to see, which means that meth won again. Breaks my heart for his family and terrifies
me how easily and viciously it grabs hold.
An interesting day, full of realizations (“Oh, you can watch kids quite easily from this viewpoint…maybe she was doing more than talking”), that
attitudes can grow when trying to around certain new students, and that I have
a fellow hairband follower at the front desk.
Bring back the 80s!!!
Home to meet Brent and GET MY
BUS!!! Unfortunately, dude didn’t call
me to let me know it won’t be ready until tomorrow because they are putting in
Lucas oil, after all ( Remember? 20/50 petroleum-based). So, Brent drove me home
again, but we will go Friday to pick her up and then I shall drive him to Sky Sushi in my bus,
where we will enjoy the bus and then sushi.
Off to class, where an LMFT from
AAMFT (American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy) came by….. This one is headed by MFTs, not lawyers, like
CAMFT is (I’m a member of CAMFT). AAMFT
is offering certification in substance abuse and LGBT-Affirmative psychotherapy. I would LOVE BOTH!!! See…there I go again. Just finishing up and already jumping at the bit to do more classes. I.Need.Help. We decided, per The Doctor, that "I'm a helper, it's what I do" is our theme.
Pictures: My bus awning has arrived!!!; I love Maggie "infinity." I love Ethan "pi", but all I have for that is homemade snickers (which I posted yesterday); Beautiful clouds as the sun set; A golden sun setting (don't worry, I was parked).
