February 5, 2016

The Whole Night Through.  It was a Nice Sleep.  The news, however, continues to emerge from The Smart Phone Debacle of ’16 and I found screen shots from conversations The Boy had had with the mother of the girl he had “dated” for a month and a half, for some odd reason.  There were apologies, but there were also rude comments.  Goddammit.  I wrote the mother an email right away, letting her know I had missed this when it took place, but there would be consequences.  It seems there are big fat surprises lately.  The kicker was when I tore my Smithsonian card when I tried to detach this fancy piece of cardstock membership.

Mags had wanted to borrow my rock climbing harness, as she announced to me yesterday morning on our way to school (she wasn’t coming home this weekend). Teen-timing.  I couldn’t find it this morning and headed to juvenile hall.  I had done so much work yesterday that there really wasn’t much do today, but while I was there, I did ask the POs about cyber-bullying and they suggested we all watch The Bully Project movie (I believe, unless it’s the 2001 movie “Bully”, but I’ll get the down-low next week).

I drove back to the agency and did some computer-work then headed home. The dogs were shockingly happy to see me.  I say this with sarcasm – they are happy to see me after I pee.  A hike seemed to be the best idea as they always seem to cheer me up. Threw on some 80s hairbands and I hit those trails singing along to songs which painted my young life, my whole life….

Drove home and prepared to get my sushi.  Had texted Looby a Whitesnake sound clip which is what we rocked to and thus began our chat convo.  He was a terrific friend in high school and really, he hasn’t changed a bit.  So glad we are in touch.
7:38 and I was too tired to go to the store as I had planned.  I’ll head over tomorrow, with tons of Super Bowl people.  Actually, come to think of it, I’ll shop during.  Finally at home, I threw some logs in the stove and turned on some Netflix – you know, to chill…..
