November 13, 2015

Butterflies woke me up at 5 – the reason why need not be mentioned, but it has been some time since these guys have visited my body, so I enjoyed it.  I heard from my childhood friend in Switzerland - Ladina.  Her parents owned a hotel in Klosters/Davos and my family and I spent many vacations there. I also learned (with the help of my friend Chuck) that my final presentation hasn't been recognized yet, so I write to the Doctor to get that straightened out.  It'll be that much longer for my intern numbers.   I also noticed sandpaper in my eyes, so around 8ish, I let my supervisor know the conjunctivitis was trying to visit and I made an appointment at the doc's. I also texted first client to reschedule for an hour later, but pink eye scares them, so they said no thanks, another day.

In my own defense, I haven’t even made out with anyone so I don’t know how I got pink eye…I kid.  It was barely, barely beginning, but I am so in tune with my body, as I enjoyed telling far too many people today, so I cut it off at the pass with a doctor visit, but not before a quick supervision in which all the necessary of my 13 clients were covered.  What I love about my doctor – actually she’s an NP, I believe (which is even better) – is she shares homeopathic remedies, too.  Like for this conjunctivitis, 1 tablespoon fennel per cup of boiling water, add a half teaspoon sea salt and compress.  Gone in 48 hours.  That’s cool, except my fennel is packed away.

The long part was getting the prescription filled, yet every cloud has its silver lining and this lining included all sorts of condoms, lubes, vibrators...pLus, this was at CVS - not Good Vibrations in the Mission District. How hip is Placerville?  It had...Fresh Balls, which  I did not even know was an issue, but for the love of chafing, I’m glad you boys have a solution.  I came ever so close to buying one, but just as I was heading back (after half an hour of waiting) my scrip was ready.    I guess Universe wants me to stay away from balls.

Once I was at work…bam, bam, bam, bam.  Client after client after client.  Yet, every now and again, I’d remember Fresh Balls and giggle like a school girl.  I get my laughs where I can.  I headed to the shelter quickly and passed a gentleman easily in his late 80s or so driving a red 1966 Corvette Stingray coupe.  It was one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time – that car was in cherry condition, too.  Back to office and…one more client. It was here, for whatever reason, that Disneyland came into the mind…how so many people that I know absolutely LOVE going there.  I think for many it is a tie back to childhood (or at least easier days) and they are able to re-live that when they visit.  For me, it is chaos.  Too many people, lines, and no real ties to my childhood.  For me, I love adventures.  When I was a kid, I read Nancy Drew like no tomorrow and learned that not everything is as it appears.  That dirt road you pass by twice a day into town could actually be the gateway to a trail, which, when explored, opens the eyes, ears, sense of smell, everything.  I’ll never forget how the kids reminded me of this when we had a great time exploring Prairie City (which was actually larger than Folsom long ago).  I think Unknown is my Disneyland.  I like that.  Plus,  I managed to get a lot of paperwork organized today, which is kind of an unknown.

Finally, after some tea and such, I headed home, to my girls, to relax with some gentlemen who are a big part of my life…exactly – The Office boys.  And yes, I realized I have focused on balls much more than is healthy today.  My humble apologies.

November 4, 2015

The night lasted so long…yet I started waking up in the darkness and fortunately, too, because I had forgotten to set my alarm.  I enjoyed a lovely morning, yet suddenly so scared again.  I had seen both houses now in two days: what if I wasn’t chosen for either?  The owners are the ones who decide when the information is presented to them.  There really weren’t many other 3 bedroom/2 bathroom homes remaining, and word was rentals slowed down tremendously in autumn.  Yikes.

I dropped my beloved children at school after Mr. Marley serenaded us, and then headed quickly to the office. I was meeting a new transfer client this morning and looking forward.   After client we had our monthly meeting with Very Extremely Necessary Information (not really) presented to us.  Although I may have benefited more than others since this was my first such meeting on issues I know little to nothing about, for most it was information that could have been sent in an email.

After the meeting, we headed off to the Baby-Shower-Farewell-We-Will-Miss-You-So-Much celebration for our lucky therapist who is moving to my home state and having her first baby.  I’m so excited for her….  First babies are awesome, especially boy babies because when you are changing their diaper at 3 a.m. after having nursed them and you are so exhausted, with milk dripping all over then they pee, so liquid is both shooting up and dripping down, it is AWESOME and one of those unforgettable moments.  As wonderful as vaginas are, they cannot shoot an arc at 3 in the morning form a 4 week old baby.  It was here that I got The Call.  I was nervous because Sean had called just before our luncheon to ask if I was sure I wanted the Camino house in first place, and I did.  It wasn’t conducive for us in terms of location (my car is not great in rain, much less snow), the size is large and heating will be so expensive, there is no washer/dryer, so I’d have to get them.  YES!  SUCH a cute house….but, Universe knew what I needed.  I love Universe.  J

After lunch, I headed back to office and got some prog notes done, closed a file, then off to get my child from school.  I had considered taking her by the house to show her, but remembered the whole Bus debacle when I had told Mags but not Ethan (I wanted to surprise him and it backfired horribly), thus I decided against that.  When I pulled up, Ethan was standing outside and I told him we got it!!  He was thrilled when he realized which house it was.  Maggie was not as thrilled initially, but I think she will be, once she sees it.

We hung out with Tatjana, talking, sorting cards, and some-such.  Tatjana is good people and I am ever-so-grateful for her in this classroom. I had another transfer client session and headed back to work – Mags sat in the car and listening to music.  I already know dad and a sibling from prior and think it went very smoothly.  As soon as it was over, I ran out to pick up Boy, we grabbed dinner to go and then home.  I have got to find a different method of dinner when kids are with me… I need to become crock-pot savy.  Turns out I left my backpack at work, so after dinner, I drove back and grabbed it.  Against my better judgement, I had a conversation with someone….  After a certain point in the evening this is a no-no.    I also know better than to discuss certain topics.  SS, DD as a person said today.  Indeed.
