I was so excited about the game I forgot to do/turn in homework that was due last night at midnight.
That's a first...My bed sheets got more action last night than a plate of
spaghetti trying to return to pre-boil status: I tossed and turned all
night long, I was so excited that I didn't fall asleep til around 4,
then (thinking ahead around 2:30, I changed the alarm)I slept til 6:04. When I awoke, I was so.damn.tired.
Drive was ok, kids slept most of the way. Got into my city with lots of
detours and one way streets. Finally made it to the Park. We had
pizza where I watched the 3rd (4th?) World Series in 2012. We walked up, up, up to the right side,
upper view: Right in the sunshine (like the rest if the park). The
great thing about being with my kids is that I can Be myself..more so than with any other human, I've found. The bad
thing (for them) is, I can be myself <embarrassing for them>. Tony Bennett is here, so is Steve Perry, Will Clark threw the
opening pitch and Jackie Greene sang the national anthem. If anything, it
was worth it just to see that. I would've loved to have seen
Tony Bennett at some point in my life but am SO grateful got to see him
the way I did today. Particles.
The game was a close one until the Nats came ahead with three RBIs then a home run. In the bottom of the ninth Pablo scored the only run
and it got very exciting, I screamed myself hoarse but we ended up
losing. And now for the longest part of the whole day, leaving the park,
parking lot and the city. It was faster from Oakland to Cameron Park
than it was leaving the parking lot/city. Not lying. I think I'm a
little resentful against San Francisco today, I hope next time we can be
better friends. 😕
Beautiful moon guiding us home. I miss days where I could just lay on my
back and stare at the moon . Quick jaunt to L's to pick up laundry that
needs to be done by tomorrow
morning for Maggie's class, then to Denny's for a dinner because this
has been a road trip. I was considering a grand slam because lord knows
we need one. Maggie was DJ and played songs for the drive. Thanks to
Steve, she began with Journey, later I acted out Bohemian Rhapsody (I
need to be careful, I was very energetic doing 90 mph)and later, over 20
years later(I thought I could handle it), Tim McGraw and "Don't Take the
Girl." By the time I pulled into Denny's, shoulders were shaking, breath was caught, and tears were POURING down my
face. Maggie giggled. I am ridiculous.

Did a ball cut a hole through those clouds?? <smile> Tomorrow.
