November 22, 2014

The morning was PERFECT.  I could hear the rain through the open window and it is Saturday!  No alarm....  It doesn't get much better.

The day was set to accomplish homework - while I did get some finished, I also was able to "learn more about myself" via those FB quizzes....  My metal theme song is Pantera's "Walk" as I seemingly am angry about kittens, cyclists in Lycra and vegetarians.  Funny...lately my anger has been towards my pups and their incontinence issues, my inability to exercises (aka, cycling) and eating crap that is not vegetarian.  At one point, I just gave up, turned off the lights and lay in my bed.  I knew I couldn't sleep, but it was the thought that counted.

There was no way to not go to the park with the pups.  Ideal weather:  drizzly and dark, so I threw on some clothes,my motorcycle boots and off we went.  These days are perfect because people don't like to get out, yet thrive on this.  By the time we got back home I had 2 soaking wet dogs.  My car smells like it.  I liked the feel of the motorcycle boots and since I was meeting Scott for dinner (this is my closest to Doc Martens), I decided why the hell not?  I need to break them in someday since the motorcycle part won't happen (Unless someone teaches me so I can finish my paid-for "lessons".  Yeah, really.).  Noticed my bra is just done, so with a little time to spare, I figured I'd stop by Target and pick something up to pick these girl up.  Managed to find an extreme push up - which really was a bit of padding placement to squish them together.  Figured while I've got the D cup, I might as well make them look fancier.

And there was Mr. Scott Thunes, sitting and waiting for me.  Unable to find a parking spot, 3 cars simultaneously pulled out and I flipped a U in the street, SF-style and parked.  We walked down Old Folsom, and in honor of sweet Irish Grace, decided to dine in a newer establishment - The Fat Rabbit Pub.  He asked if I had any requests ("always "Motorhome"" - which received an "Oh, boy" from Tim)he then he asked about my about my status - I explained the search for The Right Guy and that I'm never/rarely hit on.  We agreed that was more to do with my standards/lack of time.   In explaining my tri-citizenship, he said that was the best news he's heard in a long time and what the fuck am I doing here?  I agreed.... Still, he contacted an ex gf who may be a resource for me should I decided to pursue work as a sex therapist in SF and that was that.  Sound check in 15 - we headed back to Powerhouse.

The show was terrific - the opening band, "Lee Bob and the Truth" <of Jackpot roots> was absolutely amazing...hot bass player (of course).  Sigh.....  Then the Hips.  Despite Motorhome not being on the set list (I was ok with that - I'd gotten it at the Assembly show and HipNic), the set list was terrific - many of my favorites and hanging out with Heather, whom I'd met at Hipnic.  So many unknown faces, but all singing along.  The Hips family continues to grow.  This part of the year is a glorious  one - the changing season, the Hips shows.  Post-show talk with Scott in the back <Powerhouse "green room">  where he did his best to shock me in our convo and I held my own without a blush and honest answers.  Late night/early morning drive home, back to my bed.  Homework tomorrow <grin>
