A two-snooze alarm morning is what it was today.
Despite
7p.m.
exhaustion and crab-meat drowsiness (which occurs, I believe, due to the
excitement of eating crab meat), I wasn't in-bed-lights-out til almost
11:15.
Helped out in the school
"boutique", which has been put in every year...items and clothing are
donated for kids-in-need. They are given "ticket" which grants them a visit to the store to select clothing for family, self and gifts. About a
quarter of the kids in the school qualify for free lunches.. That's a big
problem. Maybe things aren't as fantastic as they appear in our society.
Off to pick up the kids,
then home to
turn around quickly and head to school. What a GORGEOUS sunset tonight! I
love fall scenery –much more dramatic views. On the way home from school,
a beautiful moon hidden by clouds from the impending storm which
approaches. Summers are so dull.

Classes are winding down and I am going to miss this professor.
For such a seemingly dull class (for someone
like myself),
I really do appreciate him
and enjoy his method of teaching. Three more nights and then a break.
In class tonight,
I was able to
role-play a consumer (the new term for “client”) who is receiving the results
of her diagnostic testing. She thought (and wanted to be) diagnosed with
borderline personality...which made me think back to our student who exhibits
borderline traits.
A week and
a half ago she wanted to kill me and today she
was smiling affectionately at me, telling me how much she loved my facial
expressions, which are, I admit, quite entertaining to many.
When I got home I saw that Maggie had made a late night dinner,
for me which was very nice. An omelet which
was green in honor of Theodor Geisel.
She
had also wrapped a package which arrived via FedEx -
my printer which I'm very excited to
get.

The storm is a little later in arriving than expected,
so
tomorrow
I may
get new tires as well as new windshield
wiper blades as we prepare for power outages.
Winds
are supposed to be strong and
we are expecting 5-10 inches (they say).
It'll be exciting.
An adventure
with my kids….
Pictures: The calming gray sky with the glowing, white sun; The homework is winding down; Tonight, Ethan said, "I'm not growing out of these, but you don't have to get me these anymore...The chocolate is gross." <smile> How true.
