I had such trouble getting to sleep last night. All I kept
thinking about was the bus. Ethan failing 7th grade and odd things, like
finding all of my missing salt (I have about 3 containers but can’t find
them). I finally work up, raring to g…snooze
just a little bit longer!! 12 min-no!
9 more minutes! That’s all!! But after 3 minutes, I knew this was
pointless, as I’d spend the next 8 minutes worrying and just start to doze off
when the alarm rings again, so I got up.
Today was a day of multiple dress changes: first with the tops, then
with the bras. That one is too old and useless (but comfy). Too much nipple for a shirt. This one is too cup small and I spilleth over – not
attractive. I finally found the right one.
I realized it was the first day of Cactus League! March 3rd!! Wooo-hooo!
And I am, ironically, wearing orange and black. I tried all sorts of rad selfie shots, none
of which worked, so I headed off, listening
to Murph and Mack interviewing Ryan Vogelsong.
It was terrific until he said “epitomocize”…. Oh, Vogie…
But they kept saying the game tomorrow…tomorrow…..What about today’s
game? Then it hit me, it was only the 2nd. I quickly ripped the Giants earrings from my
ears and understood why those selfies didn’t work. Thanks, Universe. Heaven Forbid I make an ass of myself. ;)
School was a colaboration day, which was terrific as I
realized I forgot my Merrill Barefoots at home and I was in those wedges
again. This is the last “heel” I am ever going to buy. Much like my alcohol, I have met my quota in
heels and must refrain from the sexy goddess look. I’ll just be the old school marm in flat, sensible shoes with good support. Another door closing when I very rude lady in HR said I can't count my hours because I am already working for EDUHSD. She has no idea what I meant and I couldn't explain it to her, so there goes those that. Pisses me off greatly.
Got to pick up my kids and we headed home. This is my last free Monday for the next 8
weeks, but this class will be it. After
practicum and my therapist hours, I’ll be good.
When I got home, I had to lie down with the heating pad again because of
pain and I quickly feel asleep. Within a
couple of hours I was up again and helped Ethan with his homework. He seems to not turn a lot in and he doesn’t
put a great deal of effort into it. I
have heard enough stories from men to realize this doesn’t mean Ethan will be
unemployable…I just hope he swings around soon.
I did mention the possibility of him failing 7th grade (which
they used to do – I don’t think they do that anymore. Not economically feasible, you know…) and I hope
that got him. Eventually the kids got
together and started making gum in the kitchen.
Ethan watches this show featuring an Aussie man who creates all this
edible things and Ethan has been experimenting in the kitchen.
We sat down to watch an Office episode together. After it was over, the kids wanted to watch
another, which I nixed, so they started tickling me. I swore I was peeing in my pants, but that
didn’t stop them. This kids are tough. I even tried bending their fingers backwards,
but they were too quick for me. Later,
they promised there would be more of that in my future so that I would live
longer and never die. ;) kit’s pretty cool when you have an-almost
teen and a tween who think you’re fun(sometimes). I hope I can sleep tonight; It’s a day
closer!!!
Pictures: My tribe, making gumballs; The beautiful sky today; Ethan thrilled with his Wubble, which Maggie and I got him last week but gave to him today.
