Is it really not the weekend yet? Another wake –up by the alarm, thus
accordingly I responded. It was an ok
morning, initially…until I spend 30 minutes looking for my wallet…then locating
it exactly where it should have been. This
was followed by eyebrows that looked drunk (I have yet to satisfactorily
accomplish “shaping.”
Today at work an interesting article was read – “What is
Your North Star” by Rick Hanson, which I very much enjoyed. “It’s the questions that matter – the answers
are different for everyone.” How true.
Headed to my first appointment with my financial advisor. He reminds me a lot of my dad and the people he
would have hired. I felt good about my
decision. Next appointment is in a
little over a week. Apparently I have
waited a little longer than I should have.
I’m chill like that.
Off to therapy! I booked
a double session since I have 17 hours I need to catch up on. On the way there – in rush hour traffic – I finally
understood the meaning behind the saying “A bird in the hand is worth two in the
bush.” It means do NOT change lanes because you think that one is going faster, because
the second you do, all the brake lights come on. “Be happy in your lane” is essentially what
it boils down to. The session(s) went
very well and I may have created a new Tshirt quote– I have my standards, even
without the cocaine. It was quite funny,
really, but to hear it you’d need to sit with me for 2 hours.
Headed home where my neighbor needed to reach out and
talk. Husband is very ill with Lyme
disease and is in treatment, so I did what I could to support her. We spoke of lots of things. Home at 10:20, I’m thrilled with how much
easier things are now that school is over….<dripping with sarcasm>
Picture: Near my therapy in Mid-town, seems like I could be quite "therapied" here.
