February 9, 2016

I was awake before the sun was up, and suddenly, the Thoughts and Fears attacked me.  What do I do about Switzerland?  How do I manage to pull this off?  This isn’t just finding a house in the same county (which I had to hire a rental agency to help me find) – this is finding a job, securing the right schools (since the system is completely different there) for the kids, renting a home, etc.etc.etc.  I wrote to Justin and  Gio – Justin moved back to Switzerland about 6 months ago and Gio has lived in Poland for many years.   Their pep talks helped.

I set up Skype video with the help of Chris – my bff-down-in-the- hood-computer guy.  He didn’t actually help me – but he called me... On The Skype.  Kids to school…finally – after a major issue in getting A Certain Child to Brush his or her teeth.  Really?  That 5 minutes had me late…late to agency, late to school site, but I learned a valuable lesson.  It is never too old to brush a child’s teeth.

It was my supervisor’s birthday and sadly I didn’t know until I was already at the agency, so after my session, I picked up a beautiful plant ensemble (is that what you call a gathering of plants?).  I received a text and was off to find cranberry cake, made for me by Laurie.  I would show a picture, but it was eaten before one could be taken.  Cranberries make everything better

A long day, which involved a doctor’s appointment, Flonase as the solution to my dizziness (I’m doubtful).  Solutions would be nice (I know they’re out there).

Home – after more late clients.  I am wearing thin.  Magic is gone, I feel I’m always chasing it – something, anything.  The kids helped, though – Ethan chopped wood and Mags cleaned the kitchen in a way I can never seem to.  We had dinner and then watched some SN.  Later – too late, I remembered I had to make my pancakes and lunches, so Mags helped.  I’m tired.

Pictures:  "Going somewhere new" - I get it.  I think about that a lot, too;  Dark Mexican - I'll see about entering the chili contest at Hipnic;  Rom with a View; My lunch mixture; This is the password my boss gave me - I love it.
